Yesterday my dog Scratch and cousin PJ’s video was aired on America’s Funniest Home Videos! How cool, their video was chosen as a finalist and if you watched we got 3rd place. It was a fun experience…. even more awesome because Scratch got to be there! We went to Manhattan Beach, CA for the taping and Scratch was able to stay in the hotel with us and go to the taping of the show. They made the trip very pet friendly. Hope you saw it, we were waving to you through the TV!
So yesterday I randomly thought- “I want cupcakes!” And since there are so many yummy cupcake stores near me I decided to try out Sprinkles in Newport Beach. Oh man, they are good… and while in the store I noticed a little tray that said “dog cupcakes $2.50″ since we brought Scratch with us, we got him a little treat 
He wasn’t used to the texture of a cupcake and it took him a while to eat it, but I’m sure he was satisfied.
Only bummer is we walked around the plaza and about three stores down there was a dog bakery called Three Dog Bakery that had dog cupcakes that looked yummy too for only $1.25! We kind of got ripped off… but now we know- and so do you! The dog bakery looked to have many yummy treats for dogs, I will definitely go back if I’m looking for a tasty snack for my spoiled doggie!
Dog Heaven to be exact. Imagine a place where dogs can run off leash on the beach and just enjoy life… that is what goes on at the Huntington Dog Beach. As a dog owner coming from out of town this is the first place everyone suggests when I ask, “where’s a good place to take my dog?” It’s so fun to see other dogs play together in such an open and free environment. Also to be able to go to the beach with your dog is cool enough for me Scratch and I can tan together, although he likes just sleeping under a beach towel next to me…unless I bring his favorite toys.

Finally I have settled in Newport Beach and have my new website up and running… you know what that means- it’s time to blog!
I admit, I was really bad the first go around, but hopefully I’ll learn to keep up. Blogging is harder than it seems…
I will be using my blog here to talk about my new findings in orange county california pet related. Events, stores, parks, and anything else I come across. I’ll also be updated you with new pictures of course.

Ok, so I’m back! I have a page on the site that will have all the pet friendly events I know of going on around town in Tucson, Arizona. As I get the events I’ll do a post about it and add it to the events page.
I’ll also be writing about pet friendly businesses, posting photos here and there, plus letting you know of any great stories I’ve heard.
